In 2018, I packed my bags and moved abroad to study for a year, thinking it would simply be a chapter of my life. My first flight took me to Australia, and although I didn’t know it at the time, that trip would leave a lasting mark on me. What I didn’t realise then was that leaving home would become so much more than a year overseas—it would be the beginning of discovering who I am, what I value, and where I feel most at home. What started as studying abroad became a journey of independence, self-discovery, and figuring out what kind of life I actually want to live.

Fast forward to 2025, and I booked another one-way flight to Australia. I haven’t been home since. Now, in 2026, I’m still here, slowly making my way around the country on my Working Holiday Visa—working along the way, exploring new places, meeting people, and collecting stories as I go. I’m not quite sure where the road will take me next, but for now, I’m enjoying the journey.
